Vishal Kudawla, professionally known as Vishnu Vishal, is an esteemed Indian actor and producer prominent in the Tamil film industry. Born on July 17, 1984, to Ramesh Kudawla, a distinguished Tamil Nadu police officer, Vishnu completed his schooling at Holy Cross Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Vellore. He pursued an MBA in marketing from SRM Institute of Science and Technology before embarking on a career in cricket, participating in TNCA league games. Unfortunately, a debilitating leg injury prematurely concluded his cricket journey, redirecting his focus towards cinema. Inspired during his convalescence, Vishnu delved into the world of films, fueled by familial influence, as his father’s uncle had been involved in the industry. Transitioning into acting, he adopted the stage name Vishnu, later incorporating his birth name. In 2009, Vishnu made his cinematic debut in Suseenthiran’s directorial venture, “Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu,” immersing himself in the role through intensive training and physical transformation, garnering critical acclaim and a Vijay Awards nomination for Best Debut Actor. Subsequent years saw Vishnu’s career ascend with diverse roles, including an action-packed portrayal in the comedy “Bale Pandiya” (2010) and a compelling depiction of a Royapuram rowdy in “Drohi” (2010), alongside Srikanth. His commitment to authenticity led him to gain 15 kg for the latter role. Continuing his trajectory, he featured in the comedy “Kullanari Koottam.” In 2014, Vishnu demonstrated his versatility with two noteworthy releases. In the romantic comedy “Mundasupatti,” produced by Thirukumaran Entertainment, he showcased his comedic prowess. Concurrently, in the sports drama “Jeeva,” collaborating once again with director Suseenthiran, Vishnu delivered a compelling performance, earning accolades for his portrayal. Both films received acclaim and performed admirably at the box office, cementing Vishnu’s status as a versatile and bankable actor in Tamil cinema.
