Vidya Balan, born on January 1, 1978, in Palakkad district, Kerala, India, emerged as a force in Bollywood through her remarkable acting prowess. After her schooling in Mumbai and a sociology degree from St. Xavier’s College, she began her journey in the entertainment industry with the TV show “Hum Paanch.” Vidya’s Bollywood debut in “Parineeta” (2005) garnered her acclaim and the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.

Her career is studded with diverse roles and critical acclaim. The film “Paa” (2009) marked a turning point, earning her the Filmfare Award for Best Actress. The intense “The Dirty Picture” (2011) brought her the National Film Award for Best Actress. “Kahaani” (2012) showcased her versatility, securing several awards.
