Vani Bhojan, an Indian actress prominent in Tamil and Telugu cinema, was born on October 28, 1988, in Ooty, Tamil Nadu, to a Badaga family. She pursued her education at a boarding school in Ooty and later obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Government Arts College, Stone House Hill, Ooty. Initially, she embarked on a career as an air hostess with Kingfisher Airlines and later with IndiGo. However, her aspirations shifted towards acting after she encountered challenges in securing a managerial position at SpiceJet due to her incomplete degree. Bhojan’s journey in acting commenced in 2010 with a minor role in the Tamil horror film “Orr Eravuu.” She further ventured into the industry with a supporting role in the 2012 Tamil film “Adigaram 79.” Her breakthrough came with her portrayal of Sathya Priya in the Sun TV series “Deivamagal” in 2013, which garnered her widespread recognition and numerous awards, including the Galatta Nakshatra Award and Tamil Nadu State Awards for Best Actress. Following the success of “Deivamagal,” Bhojan expanded her career into Tamil and Telugu films, starring in projects such as the Telugu film “Prema” in 2017. She also appeared as a judge on television shows like “Asathal Chutties” and “Kings of Comedy Juniors 2.” Bhojan’s first lead role came in the 2019 Telugu film “Meeku Maathrame Cheptha,” which proved to be a commercial success. In 2020, Bhojan made her Tamil film debut with “Oh My Kadavule,” which earned her critical acclaim and nominations for Best Supporting Actress at SIIMA and JFW Awards. Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, she starred in the crime thriller film “Lock Up” released on ZEE5 and the Tamil web series “Triples” on Hotstar. Continuing her success, Bhojan starred opposite Vaibhav Reddy in the ZEE5 film “Malaysia to Amnesia” in 2021. She also featured in “Raame Aandalum Raavane Aandalum,” produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment, and appeared as a journalist in the film. In 2022, Bhojan was slated to appear in the film “Mahaan” alongside Vikram, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, although her scenes did not make the final cut. Additionally, she starred in the crime thriller web series “Tamil Rockerz,” portraying the role of a forensic officer, further solidifying her presence in the industry.
