Upasana Singh

Upasana Singh, born on June 29, 1975, is a versatile Indian actress and stand-up comedian known for her work in Hindi and Punjabi language films, as well as television series. She rose to prominence with her notable performances in various comedic and dramatic roles across different mediums. Singh gained early recognition for her role as a deaf-mute character in the 1997 film “Judaai.” She further cemented her presence in the industry with her negative portrayal as Cruella/Kalipari in the popular TV series “Son Pari.” Her comedic prowess was showcased through her role as Gangaa in Doordarshan’s patriotic sitcom “Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani” and Zee thriller show “Tamanna House.” One of Singh’s most acclaimed roles came with her portrayal of “Bua” (paternal aunt) in the immensely popular TV show “Comedy Nights with Kapil.” Her distinctive style and delivery of Punjabi and humorous English dialogues garnered widespread critical acclaim and made her a household name.
