Trisha Krishnan, born on May 4, 1983, is an Indian actress renowned for her work in Tamil and Telugu cinema. Her journey into the limelight began with her victory in the 1999 Miss Chennai pageant, paving her path into the world of cinema. Regarded as the “Queen of South India” or “The South Queen,” Trisha has earned numerous accolades for her contributions to South Indian Cinema and has been consistently ranked among the top actresses in the region by The Times of India. After starting with a minor role in the Tamil romantic drama “Jodi” (1999), Trisha landed her first lead role in “Mounam Pesiyadhe” (2002), propelling her to fame. She further solidified her position with successful films like “Saamy” (2003), “Ghilli” (2004), “Varsham” (2004), “Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana” (2005), and “Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule” (2007), winning three Filmfare Awards for Best Actress in Telugu.
