Sushanth Anumolu, professionally known as Sushanth, is an Indian actor renowned for his work in Telugu cinema. Born into the esteemed Akkineni?Daggubati family on March 18, 1986, in Hyderabad, his lineage connects him to the illustrious Akkineni Nageswara Rao, and he shares familial ties with renowned actors such as Nagarjuna, Sumanth, Naga Chaitanya, and Akhil Akkineni. Educationally, Sushanth pursued his schooling at Hyderabad Public School and later attained a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Prior to venturing into acting, he gained professional experience as an Electrical Engineer at United Technologies and Schlumberger. Sushanth stepped into the world of cinema with his debut in the film “Kalidasu” in 2008. Although initially facing setbacks with several box office disappointments, his breakthrough came with his remarkable portrayal of a software professional in “Chi La Sow” in 2018, earning him widespread acclaim. The pinnacle of his career arrived with the blockbuster success of “Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo” in 2020. Not limiting himself to the big screen, Sushanth ventured into the digital realm with his web debut in “Maa Neella Tank” in 2022. In pursuit of honing his craft, Sushanth, alongside his cousin Naga Chaitanya, underwent training at the Kreating Charakters Training School in Mumbai, delving into the nuances of acting.
