Shraddha Srinath

Shraddha Rama Srinath, an Indian actress renowned for her work in Tamil, Kannada, and Telugu cinema, was born on 29 September 1990 in Udhampur, Jammu & Kashmir. Growing up in various cities due to her father’s occupation in the Indian Army, she eventually settled in Bangalore to pursue law at the Bangalore Institute of Legal Studies after completing her schooling at Army School Secunderabad. Although she embarked on a career as a real estate lawyer with Bangalore-based companies, Srinath’s passion for acting persisted. She actively participated in theater and appeared in numerous advertisements alongside her corporate job. Her breakthrough in cinema came when she was cast in the Malayalam film “Kohinoor” in 2015, marking her debut in the film industry. Srinath’s career soared with her role in the Kannada psychological thriller “U Turn” (2016), directed by Pawan Kumar. Her portrayal earned widespread acclaim and fetched her the prestigious Filmfare Award for Best Actress in Kannada. Subsequently, she delivered notable performances in films like “Urvi” and “Operation Alamelamma” in 2017, solidifying her position in the industry. Expanding her horizons, Srinath ventured into Tamil cinema with a supporting role in Mani Ratnam’s “Katru Veliyidai” (2017) and later played pivotal roles in Tamil hits like “Ivan Thanthiran” and “Vikram Vedha.” Her Bollywood debut came with “Milan Talkies” (2019) alongside Ali Fazal. However, it was her Telugu debut in the sports drama “Jersey” opposite Nani that garnered significant praise. Continuing her prolific career, Srinath appeared in various Tamil, Kannada, and Telugu films, including “K-13,” “Rustum,” “Nerkonda Paarvai,” and “Jodi.” In 2021, she featured in Tamil films “Maara” and “Chakra,” followed by the Malayalam film “Aaraattu” alongside Mohanlal in 2022.
