Sharwanand Myneni, known simply as Sharwanand, is an acclaimed Indian actor and producer, predominantly active in Telugu cinema and occasionally in Tamil films. His journey in the entertainment industry commenced with his acting debut in 2004 through the film “Aidho Tareekhu.” Notable achievements in his career include winning the SIIMA Award for Best Male Debut – Tamil for his role in “Engeyum Eppodhum” (2011) and the prestigious Nandi Special Jury Award for his performance in “Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju” (2015). Initially, Sharwanand showcased his talent in films like “Prasthanam,” “Run Raja Run,” and “Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju.” Subsequently, he starred in successful ventures such as “Express Raja,” “Sathamanam Bhavati,” and “Mahanubhavudu.” Born in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, Sharwanand spent his formative years in Hyderabad, Telangana. He pursued his education at The Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet, and completed his Bachelor of Commerce degree from Wesley Degree College, Secunderabad. During his college days, he garnered recognition as “The Hindu’s Best New Face” and honed his acting skills at the Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Institute in Mumbai. Coming from a business-oriented family, Sharwanand shares familial ties with actor Ram Pothineni. In his personal life, Sharwanand recently embarked on a new chapter by getting engaged to Rakshita Reddy, a US-based professional, and subsequently tying the knot on June 3, 2023, at The Leela Palace in Jaipur. His wedding marked a joyous occasion celebrated among family and friends. Sharwanand’s foray into the entertainment world began with notable appearances in advertisements, including one alongside Chiranjeevi for Thums Up. He gradually transitioned into films, sharing screen space with industry stalwarts like Chiranjeevi and Venkatesh in supporting roles, paving the way for his eventual rise as a leading actor in Telugu cinema.
