Reema Sen, born on October 29, 1981, in Kolkata, is a former Indian actress and model renowned for her work primarily in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi cinema. Having completed her high school education at St. Thomas Girls School in Kidderpore, Kolkata, Reema’s family later relocated to Mumbai. In Mumbai, she embarked on her modelling career, featuring in numerous advertising campaigns before transitioning to the world of cinema. Reema made her acting debut in the Telugu film industry with “Chitram,” opposite Uday Kiran. She garnered attention for her performance and later starred alongside Madhavan in the Tamil film “Minnale,” which was a commercial success. Despite an unsuccessful debut in Hindi cinema with “Hum Ho Gaye Aapke,” she decided to focus on Tamil cinema, where she found success with films like “Rendu” and “Thimiru,” earning praise for her performances, particularly in negative roles in films like “Aayirathil Oruvan” and “Vallavan.” In 2012, Reema married businessman Shiv Karan Singh, and the couple welcomed their son, Rudraveer, in February 2013. Following her marriage, Reema decided to retire from acting, with her last Bollywood appearance being in “Gangs of Wasseypur” alongside Manoj Bajpayee, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Richa Chadda. Apart from her film career, Reema also made an appearance in the music video for the song “Chandni Raatein” sung by Shamsa Kanwal in 1998.
