Raashii Khanna

Raashii Khanna, born on November 30, 1990, is an Indian actress known for her work predominantly in Telugu and Tamil cinema. She initiated her acting journey with a supporting role in the Hindi film “Madras Cafe” (2013) and soon transitioned into leading roles, notably in Telugu cinema with “Oohalu Gusagusalade” (2014), Tamil cinema with “Imaikkaa Nodigal” (2018), and Malayalam cinema with “Villain” (2017). Khanna’s career soared with several commercially successful films, including “Bengal Tiger” (2015), “Supreme” (2016), “Jai Lava Kusa” (2017), “Tholi Prema” (2018), “Imaikkaa Nodigal” (2018), “Venky Mama” (2019), “Prati Roju Pandage” (2019), “Thiruchitrambalam” (2022), and “Sardar” (2022), establishing her as a leading actress in Telugu and Tamil cinema. Additionally, Khanna showcased her versatility by lending her voice to a few songs in different languages. Her talents also extend to the streaming realm with series like “Rudra: The Edge of Darkness” (2022) and “Farzi” (2023). Hailing from Delhi, Khanna pursued her education at St. Mark’s Senior Secondary Public School before graduating with a Bachelor of Arts with honours in English from Lady Shri Ram College. Initially, Khanna aspired to become an IAS officer, driven by her academic excellence and studious nature during her schooling and college days. Although she harbored a childhood dream of becoming a singer, her interests shifted towards academia. Khanna’s foray into acting was serendipitous, as she ventured into copywriting for advertisements during her college days, eventually transitioning into acting in commercials before making her mark in films.
