Monica Gill

Monica Gill is an accomplished American model, actress, and beauty pageant titleholder. She gained widespread recognition after winning the Miss India Worldwide 2014 title on June 21, 2014, and also clinching the Miss India USA crown on November 26, 2013, while representing Miss India New England. Despite originally considering a career in pharmaceuticals, Gill’s success in beauty pageants propelled her towards the world of entertainment. In 2015, she showcased her modeling skills on the MTV India show “India’s Next Top Model.” However, Gill’s ultimate ambition was to pursue Bollywood in India. Despite facing challenges due to her Hindi-speaking skills, her fluency in Punjabi, stemming from her Punjabi background, led her to focus on Punjabi cinema instead. Gill made her Punjabi film debut in the 2016 film “Ambarsariya” opposite Diljit Dosanjh, which marked the beginning of a successful stint in Punjabi cinema. She followed this with three consecutive blockbuster Punjabi films the same year. Transitioning to Hindi cinema, she made her debut in the 2017 film “Firangi” and later appeared in “Paltan” (2018), where she played the love interest of Harshvardhan Rane. In 2019, she starred in the Punjabi-language period drama “Yaara Ve.” Beyond her career, Gill’s personal life has also drawn attention. She met Gurshawn Sahota, a California-based dentist, and became engaged in 2018. However, due to the pandemic, their wedding plans have been postponed. Unfortunately, Gill and Sahota ended their relationship in November 2021 due to irreconcilable differences. Currently residing in New York City, Gill remains focused on her career and personal growth.
