Manju Warrier, born on September 10, 1978, is an acclaimed Indian actress known for her work primarily in Malayalam cinema. Beginning her journey at the age of 17, Warrier made her debut in the Malayalam film “Sakshyam” (1995), marking the inception of a remarkable career. Notable contributions include her roles in “Thooval Kottaram” (1996), “Sallapam” (1996), “Ee Puzhayum Kadannu” (1996), and “Aaraam Thampuran” (1997). Born in Nagercoil city, Kanyakumari district, Tamil Nadu, into a Malayali family, Warrier’s roots trace back to Pullu village in Thrissur district, Kerala. Her father, T. V. Madhavan, served as an accountant, while her mother, Girija, was a homemaker. Raised alongside her elder brother, Madhu Wariar, who is also associated with the entertainment industry, Warrier underwent her early schooling in Nagercoil and later relocated to Kannur district, Kerala. Warrier’s foray into acting commenced with the television serial “Moharavam” on Doordarshan before she transitioned to the silver screen with “Sakshyam” (1995) at a tender age. Her subsequent film, “Sallapam” (1996), co-starring Dileep, marked the beginning of a successful stint in the industry.
