Hansika Motwani

Hansika Motwani, born on August 9, 1991, is a prominent Indian actress recognized for her work primarily in Tamil and Telugu cinema. Initially, she commenced her journey in the entertainment industry as a child actor in Hindi films before transitioning into lead roles in Telugu cinema. Some of her notable Telugu films include “Desamuduru” (2007), “Kantri” (2008), and “Maska” (2009). Her foray into Tamil cinema began with “Mappillai” in 2011, followed by a string of commercially successful ventures such as “Engeyum Kadhal” (2011), “Velayudham” (2011), “Oru Kal Oru Kannadi” (2012), “Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru” (2013), “Singam II” (2013), and “Aranmanai” (2014). She also expanded her repertoire by starring in the Malayalam film “Villain” (2017). Hansika Motwani was born into a Sindhi family in Bombay, Maharashtra (now Mumbai). Her father, Pradeep Motwani, is a businessman, while her mother, Mona Motwani, pursues a career as a dermatologist. She pursued her education at the Podar International School and the International Curriculum School, Santacruz, both located in Mumbai.
