Allu Sirish

Allu Sirish, born on May 30, 1987, is a prominent Indian actor primarily active in Telugu cinema, notable as the brother of the leading Telugu actor Allu Arjun. He made his debut as a lead actor in the film “Gouravam” (2013), a Telugu-Tamil bilingual alongside Yami Gautam. Despite its commercial shortcomings, the film garnered attention for its thematic content. Following this, he appeared in “Kotha Janta” (2014), a romantic comedy directed by Maruthi, which emerged as the 3rd most watched Telugu film of the year on satellite television, despite its modest budget. In 2016, Sirish starred in “Srirasthu Subhamastu,” directed by Parasuram, a blend of love story and family drama that received positive reviews and proved to be a box office success, earning around ?20.2 crores during its theatrical run. He ventured into Malayalam cinema with a supporting role opposite Mohanlal in “1971: Beyond Borders” (2017), directed by Major Ravi, garnering decent reviews for his performance. His notable appearance in “Okka Kshanam” (2017), a sci-fi thriller exploring the concept of parallel lives, received critical acclaim, further solidifying his position in the industry. In 2019, he starred in “ABCD ? American Born Confused Desi,” a Telugu remake of the Malayalam film of the same name, portraying the role of a rich, spoiled protagonist striving for redemption, earning praise for his portrayal. Beyond his film career, Sirish also collaborated with Tamannaah Bhatia for a commercial for the Telugu audience of Head & Shoulders. In recognition of his foray into Malayalam cinema, he was honored with the “Crossover Star of the Year” award at the Lulu Fashion Awards in 2019. Returning to the silver screen in 2022, Sirish starred in “Oorvasivo Rakshasivo” opposite Anu Emmanuel, marking his latest cinematic venture.
